The challenge
The challenge
As a leading international renewable energy company, Statkraft’s ambition is to strengthen its global position through a unified and powerful brand. A consistent identity provides a clear competitive advantage when communicating with diverse audiences — from customers and partners to policymakers and employees.
However, as Statkraft evolved into a broad renewable energy company with operations in over 20 countries, its brand platform no longer kept pace. The organization appeared fragmented, with multiple brand expressions and no single framework to support communication across all markets and audiences.
To realize its vision, Statkraft needed a complete brand revitalization — and a solution that made it simple for more than 7,000 employees in 20+ countries to use the brand correctly and consistently.

To shape the new brand, Statkraft initiated a broad process involving in-depth market insights, audience mapping and interviews with internal and external stakeholders. Digital workshops were held across organizational levels and countries to capture local market nuances and cultural differences.
Following the launch of a new vision and values in 2022, the next phase introduced a new positioning strategy, brand hierarchy, messaging platform, and updated verbal and visual identity in 2025.
Having partnered with Papirfly since 2017 for image management and digital asset storage, Statkraft collaborated with Papirfly to create its new Brand Center.
The goal was clear: To bring together all brand assets in one central platform, ensure a consistent brand experience across all channels and markets, and reduce the need for external suppliers.

Statkraft needed a scalable way to manage and create on-brand content across 20+ global markets. Papirfly’s Digital Asset Management and Content Creation solutions combined flexibility and governance — giving every employee access to the right brand assets, templates, and guidelines in one platform.
Unlike traditional DAM systems, Papirfly combines asset organization with brand visualization and templated content creation. This means teams can not only store and share assets but also create new, brand-compliant materials directly from the same environment.
Through a single Brand Center, Papirfly ensures every asset, template, and guideline aligns with the master brand. This unified ecosystem empowers teams worldwide to create localized content while maintaining the same visual identity, tone, and message.
Statkraft achieved consistent brand expression across all markets, reduced third-party agency costs, and improved production speed. Teams can now deliver localized content in hours instead of days — all fully on-brand.
Digital Asset Management (DAM) is the system used to organize, store, and share brand assets securely. For global organizations like Statkraft, a DAM ensures everyone uses the latest approved visuals, videos, and documents — eliminating off-brand materials and improving content quality across all channels.
Absolutely. Papirfly’s modular suite is designed for organizations operating in multiple markets — including energy, retail, and financial services — helping them maintain brand integrity, scale content creation, and maximize marketing efficiency.
